Charles Clement holds over two decades of experience as an executive management professional, with this time primarily being focused on the medical and health care industry. Charles Clement currently serves as the CEO and president of the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC), positions he has held since 2012.
During this time, the company has invested in and worked with a variety of medical facilities, such as the Sitka Medical Center (SMC) and Ethel Lund Medical Center (ELMC), both of which scored highly in a recent survey by the Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation (COLA).
The surveys, which were conducted in June, helped the facilities to earn the Laboratory Excellence Award from COLA. This marks the first time that the SMC lab received the accolade, while ELMC previously received it in 2017.
COLA was founded in 1988, and works with labs to ensure that they maintain high-quality standards while maintaining high standards of care. In addition, they look to help facilities apply rigid quality standards in their daily operations while demonstrating a level of accuracy.
